"I purchased this unit a couple of weeks ago and have certainly been impressed with it. It cools the room down and also functions extremely well as powerful fan if you switch off cooling mode. It also doubles up as a dehumidifier, should you need it. As you can imagine the unit is not silent, but then why would it be? It is effectively a portable fridge with a powerful fan. If you're expecting silence then an Aircon unit isn't for you! That being said, I would not say this unit is excessively loud, but each to their own I guess. Either way I would certainly recommend this unit."
