All the information you need to know about heaters.

What’s the difference between the types of electric heaters?

Panel and convector heaters warm the air in a room, fan heaters use a built-in fan to push out quick bursts of warm air, oil-filled radiators store heat for longer, and towel rails are designed to keep bathrooms warm while drying towels.

Which heater is the most energy efficient?

Efficiency depends on how you use it. All electric heaters convert electricity into heat efficiently, but oil-filled radiators hold heat longer, while panel heaters and electric radiators often come with thermostats and timers for better control.

Are electric heaters safe to leave on overnight?

Many modern heaters include thermostats, timers, and safety cut-outs, making them safe for prolonged use. However, it’s best to use them sensibly — follow the manufacturer’s instructions and don’t cover them.

Can I use heaters in any room?

Most can be used in bedrooms, lounges, and offices. For bathrooms, only towel rails or heaters with the correct safety rating (IP rating) should be installed.

What size heater do I need for my room?

As a general guide, you’ll need around 100 watts per square metre of floor space. Larger or poorly insulated rooms may require more.

Devola air curtain in detail.

Devola Platinum 4kW PTC Over Door Air Curtain (with Remote Control) - DVSH40WH

The DVSH40WH is an exemplary 4kW air curtain designed to condition incoming air and reduce the amount of warm air escaping. It is ideally situated above shop doorways, conservatories and business reception areas. It is also suitable for domestic use in areas where you would want to minimalize heat loss or temperature fluctuations, when a door is frequently in use. The optimum 3kW output is better than most models on the market, however, it can also be used at half of its capacity (2kW), if required, to save on energy costs. In half power mode the unit will still circulate a generous heat distribution around the space.

Boasting state of the art PTC heating technology, which provides safe, energy efficient and powerful heat distribution. The housing of the unit is premium quality steel designed to be durable for it’s frequent everyday use. The air curtain is very quiet in operation at just 49dB.

The air curtain is lot 20 compliant and has a honeycomb efficient air vent which provides efficient heat circulation to prevent overheating. In addition, it has fuse protection which breaks the circuit flow upon detection of a problem, reducing the risk of an electrical shock/injury. The mounting brackets provided allow the installer to affix the heater flush or angled up to 90 degrees.

Please Note: This unit does not come with a plug and requires installation by a qualified electrician.
