Effective but Disappointing Longevity
"I purchased the Devola 1. 2kW Infrared Indoor & Outdoor Wi-Fi Radiant Heater in October 2024 and installed it in a dry workshop environment with appropriate clearances. For the first year, the heater performed well. Heat output was good and the Wi-Fi control worked as expected. However, after approximately 14 months of normal use, the front fascia panel became noticeably distorted. The unit has not been exposed to moisture or misuse, so this was disappointing from a durability perspective. Customer service was polite and responsive when I contacted them. As the unit was just outside the standard one-year warranty, no repair or replacement was offered. A 10% goodwill discount towards a new unit was proposed. It is worth noting that the extended two-year warranty requires separate registration using the serial number. If purchasing, I would recommend completing this registration immediately. Overall, a good performer while it lasted, but I would have expected better long-term durability."
