Efficiency depends on how you use it. All electric heaters convert electricity into heat efficiently, but oil-filled radiators hold heat longer, while panel heaters and electric radiators often come with thermostats and timers for better control.

Panel heaters feature a sleek, minimalist design, making them perfect for efficient, long-term, heating. Panel heaters offer a discreet alternative to bulkier, noisier options like fan or oil-filled heaters.

As a general rule, allocate approximately 100W of heating power per square meter of space. For smaller bedrooms, a 1kW heater is typically sufficient, while larger living areas are better suited to a 2kW heater.

Many modern heaters include thermostats, timers, and safety cut-outs, making them safe for prolonged use. However, it’s best to use them sensibly — follow the manufacturer’s instructions and don’t cover them.

Most can be used in bedrooms, lounges, and offices. For bathrooms, only towel rails or heaters with the correct safety rating (IP rating) should be installed.
