What is relative humidity?

Where does the water come from?

The ideal humidity level for a home is typically between 40% and 60%. This range helps maintain comfort, prevents mold growth, and protects furniture and electronics. Levels below 40% can feel too dry, while levels above 60% may encourage dampness and allergens.
How does a dehumidifier work?
A dehumidifier works by removing excess moisture from the air to reduce humidity levels. It draws in humid air using a fan, then passes it over cold coils. As the air cools, the moisture condenses into water droplets, which are collected in a tank or drained away. How long will it take to get the moisture under control?
